Sárvári Research Trust
The Trust was established in 2002 to develop new varieties of organic potatoes which are resistant to late blight and other viral problems. The Trust licences technology originating in Hungary and is creating a research programme for studies into late-blight resistance. International Potato Company (IPC Ltd) is an associate commercialisation company set up as an interface between the Trust and industry. IPC has already secured a number of contracts with producers and will ensure that intellectual property developed by the Trust is safeguarded.
New Park established the Trust’s corporate structure and has a continuing role as commercialisation advisors to IPC Ltd. In addition, New Park advises the Sarvari family on the development of the Sarvari Research Centre in Zirc, Hungary.
