New businesses at MIC

The completion of the new build at Midlothian Innovation Centre now takes the total space available to businesses to over 68000 sq ft. In the case of the new building, extending to 15000 sq ft, more than half of the available accommodation has been taken up.

Joining Arrayjet Limited, a leading company in the production of high quality microarrays using inkjet technology, who have the whole ground floor, are Barstow & Millar, Accountants dealing with charities, small business and personal clients and Network ROI specialising in the provision of managed IT services, VoiP telephony and security systems.

In addition, furthering the Centre’s development as a hub for companies involved in the renewables sector, Reactor Technologies Limited are taking up space at the Centre to operate a prototype self energising fast thermal reactor producing clean energy and activated carbon from renewable sources. This new biomass energy production facility has generated very significant interest in the market place given the reactor’s capability of burning a wide variety of waste streams.
