Rankine Building Acquisition

New Park recently added another new building to their growing network of Technology Parks and Innovation Centres.

The Rankine Building on Scottish Enterprise’s East Kilbride Technology Park is home to the Energy Technology Centre, which provides a wide range of resources and equipment for developing, testing and demonstrating small-scale renewable and sustainable energy systems.

New Park is already part of the consortium contracted by Scottish Enterprise to help Scottish SMEs develop and test these systems within the Energy Technology Centre through the provision of both the facilities and specialist technical and business development advice.

New Park has also assisted in the formation of a new SPV, Sustainable Energy Technology and Innovation Centre Ltd (SETIC), to upgrade the Rankine Building with the assistance of INTERREG European Funding. The upgrade will utilise innovative materials and technologies to create an exemplar ‘eco-efficient pilot building’ which will both use and help to develop new renewable energy technologies.
